Post by: radguy on August 10, 2011, 02:46:37 PM
These are a few wrenches I can't seem to find any info on.

Top left is a spanner wrench if that helps, cant make out the markings
Second one from the bottom left side is prob a hub-cap wrench

The third one down on the left , with a single digit number, is probably a valve wrench, sold by plumbing companies, sets have several sizes, tho info on them beyond ads seems hard to find. (Crane sold them, among others)

Is the bottom left one thin? looks like a checknut wrench....

The S wrench , top right , is a patented design, (I can't remember is it was sold by Eberhard, off hand..)

I have seen the 4th one down (right) somewhere...lawn mower wrench??

Numbers on the second down , left would probably id it...

In any case, nice assortment of different styles...

Top right looks like a De laval separator wrench.

Ok on the left going from the top to bottom, 1st wrench has "25 8" on it, 2nd wrench has "A185" on it, 3rd wrench has "3" on it, 4th wrench has "206" on it, 5th has "178" on it and the bottom wrench has "BTHS MS 160E 1959 JAG" on it. The one on the top right is a spaner but does not taper to a flat blade or match the other De Laval that I have.

Rathbone has a picture of a De laval that matches yours. No blade end. it does look to have a faint De Laval on the handle though so you may be right.

hmm....

>BTHS MS 160E 1959 JAG

In as much as there was a model 160 Jaguar in 1959.....perhaps a service wrench?

Are you sure the "A185" wrench is not "A163"? A163 is a similar looking farm implement wrench from Minnesota Prison Industries.

I went and looked again and it is A185. It could be from the Minnesota Prison Industries.

Digging deeper in my parts books I found an A165 that looks like your wrench. Could the 8 be a 6?
