Title: New member from Minneapolis
Post by: MplsJeff on December 20, 2014, 12:59:39 PM
Hello everyone. I'm a 43 yr old woodworker/tinkerer/collector. I enjoy going to estate and garage sales (which are quite limited here in the winter months). I collect old tools, electrical items, padlocks, keys, cameras, etc...whatever catches my eye. I recently have begun selling things on Ebay, and plan to eventually rent a display case in an antique store. I'm hope to expand my knowledge of tools, and get some help identifying the ones I can't figure out.  I've read quite a few threads on here, and it's great to find a forum with people who take others questions seriously.

Welcome from Northern British Columbia. In our winter ( probably similar to yours ) the yard sales are pretty much non existent.

I've found that garage sales are by far the best way to find deals. People just want to get rid of things, and they are easy to negotiate lower prices with.

And you will also find that soon enough you can't get your car in the garage, yeah those garage and estate sales along with ebay and craigslist?  Those tools are an interesting and slippery slope. DAMHIKT
