Title: buggy whip holder
Post by: jimwrench on May 09, 2015, 06:39:48 PM
Got a Ihc buggy whip holder and a McCormick oil can holder today. Only problem is I don't own a buggy whip  and my IHC oil can is too big for my oil can holder. Oilcan holder is a 922 and buggy whip holder is a B993. Got another unmarked oil can holder painted orange; don't know if that is significant or just means prior owner had some orange paint.(obviously not original) Anybody recognize the orange one?

I had seen one something like that orange one mounted on an old automobile firewall
with an oil can in it.  it was freshly painted gloss black.

some of the old timers carried the old squirt can oilers with their autos.

you had to oil the generators now and then, they had oil caps front & rear.
also oiled the leaf springs after they got wet and then dried out, (squeek, squeek.)

the old external valve lifters also needed oiling.
