Title: Van Dorn electric drill
Post by: Rwolak on February 28, 2017, 08:06:15 AM
Hi,

New to the forum.  Does anyone on here have knowledge of what a Van Dorn 5/8" chuck electric drill might be worth?  The drill is in good working order and has been in my family as long as I can remember and I'm 74.

Any response will be greatly appreciated

Thanx

I am not aware of any listing for that type of tool as to the value,  to me, it is the old way of putting a price
on them.  what the buyer is willing to pay vs what the seller is willing to let it go for.

 just my thoughts. good luck.

Look at completed auctions on eBay (I usually filter for "sold" - I don't need to know about the failed auctions).  I just had a quick look, and prices seem to vary a lot.  If you're not familiar with how to do this, establish an account there (free), then click on the "advanced" link to the right of the search box.  Search broadly: Van Dorn drill.  Narrowing it down will miss the auctions that were described badly.

There's also Worthpoint, which accumulates years worth of online sales, but I believe that costs money to subscribe.
