Title: Anyone with info on old Brown & Boggs sheetmetal tools?
Post by: MadMatt on November 12, 2011, 09:24:48 PM
Hi everyone, new here to the forums, found it trying to search for some info on some recently procured old sheetmetal working tools and table which all look to be made by Brown & Boggs.

I have been very unsuccessful in finding anything at all about these thus far and was hoping there might be a few people on here that might be able to either lead me in the right direction or shed some more light on these tools.  Any and all info is welcome, as of right now I know very little about them.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Brown & Boggs is a very old Canadian company, they go back to the 1890's. They were one of the early makers of non gear driven presses.....

There is not a whole lot of product specific info floating around, but the company is alive and well, they might answer an email....

Their name has changed slightly btw...

That's a whole lot of tools you have there!  You could do any amount of tinsmith work with those -- just about anything from coffee pots to wash buckets.  It's a great find and quite valuable.

Ya there sure is a whole lot of tools, there is duplicates of most every tool shown on the table also and some different stuff not shown on the shelf in the middle, sure takes up a lot of space though.

Thanks for the replies so far everyone, I do have one question I am hoping someone might have the answer to though.  I am pretty curious as to about what years tools like these may have been made and used?  I have yet to find any date stamps on any of the tools, the one thing I have yet to look over thoroughly is the table itself.
