I have the opportunity to pick this up for $75
No opportunity to test it out
Can't find anything on it. I would either keep it as an upgrade to my 1940's Craftsman or 1950's Atlas - or fix it up and sell it but I need to have at least an approximation of it's value to feel comfortable buying it without testing it. (no power where it's at)

If it has a removable motor I would probably buy it. I would pull, yank, twist, turn and pull everything to make sure nothing is broke worn out like bushings or bearings. Smell the motor to see of it smells burnt. I would take a chance on it. Unless it was used for production work in a factory, it probably has not been used that much.

Came from the shop of a home machinist
-
Better yet. You know he was going to take care of it. It was his money that bought it!
Did you ask him why he’s getting rid of it?

Because he died 10+ years ago
This is all coming out of a basement of a house that's going to be torn down to put up a strip mall
-
I passed
Went searching online for parts and found nothing - not a good thing if something is wring with it.
Bought a cool old Wrights rolling toolbox instead
-
I've only seen arbor presses and large sheet metal equipment made by Famco, good stuff.
-
It looks like a really good machine, but the complete lack of parts did scare me off
-
Wonder if another company made them for them? they rebranded them?
-
Doesn't look like any press I've ever seen before
