I seen a lot of sharpening stones in my 50 years of playing about with tools, but this is the most worn I have ever seen !!

All that wear with zero sugar? Must have been the caffeine :cheesy:

If I'm seeing it right, it's the fine stone that they wore out. Must have been frustrating, aiming to get a nice final finish and hitting the medium (or coarse, can't tell from the photo) grit every time they got halfway through a honing stroke.

That's the worst dished-out stone I've seen in my lifetime!
Got to remember how to sharpen. Got good at it when I was mostly buying used knives, then got out of habit when mostly buying new ones, now after dulling most of those, I've forgotten, and am making messes again.
