Pawpaw has been missing and no new daily quotes for several days, I hope everything is ok with him.

Now that you mentioned it.
Take care Pawpaw!

This doesn't look good. We hope it isn't anything serious.

Hello, Papaw. Good to hear from you!! I hear you about posting from the phone!! Take care, Lou
-
Happy to hear that you can still post. The alternative is worrisome.
-
I am home now and have a few things to take care of here. Tomorrow I will explain. Heart trouble is no joke.
-
Hi Noel, glad to hear you’re home! Stay Safe.
Mike

Glad you are back home, even if the food is good it is always good to get out of the hospital.
-
Glad you are home, hope you can recover and get back to normal again. We missed you!
-
Good to hear your back home.
-
It is good to be home for my birthday, even if it is after a bad week. Last Thursday at about 330 AM I blacked out in the bathroom and went to UTMB Emergency, Root cause was excess fluid on the heart causing very poor circulation and lack of oxygen. Took a week to get the fluid levels down to halfway acceptable. I also have a very painful left hip, but no breaks or cracks.
-
Hang in there buddy, heart trouble's a bitch!
-
Good to see you back home! Get some rest! Take care.
-
Good to hear from you, Papaw.
Those first responders take good care of you at the house?
From personal experience, they are the best. Those folks sure know their onions.
-
"Heart trouble is no joke."
After 3 heart attacks i can vouch for that. :undecided:
Take care of yourself. Glad it sounds like your local EMT and doctors did a good job for you.
-
Glad your home and on the mend Papaw.
-

A little report on my condition-
Things are looking up a bit and I feel lots better. Slow moving and have a real sore hip. Heart condition seems to be improving. Had a follow up appointment with the cardiologist yesterday and he says to continue on the meds from the hospital.
I will have a home health care person come by next week to do an evaluation.
-
Sounds like good news to me!! Stay safe, and have a great holiday, Lou
-
Great news! Happy to hear it. Thanks for sharing!

Yo Pawpaw, I'm keeping your bed warm for the next time you need it. I'm back in the hospital for the 4th time in 3 months. Got a couple kidney stones removed in late September and been sick ever since, back in this time with kidney failure. Lifes a bitch, and then you die! Almost forgot....Hope you all had a great Chistmas, and hopefully we will all have a better new year.
-
Hello, Dan. I hope that you are home by the start of the New Year!! Take care, Lou
-
Glad you are doing ok now. Hope you had a good Christmas. Back in 1967 I wound up in the hospital for 5 weeks with a eye injury. Got out on December 24th. You take care of yourself and hope 2021 is a better year.

It may be early, but i'm hoping everyone has a better 2021. I've had enough of 2020 and it's not even over yet.
-
I'm home now, got tubes sticking out though. Feeling somewhat better, gotta go Friday for bloodwork to see if I can stay home or go back to the hospital.
-
Hi Everyone, It seems like it would be hard for 2021 to be much worse, I’m looking forward to it being better.
I’m also hoping that Papaw and Dan get better, nice old guys like we have on this forum are a scarce item.
Stay well everybody and have a Better New Year!!

Just got a phone call from Papaw. He's in the hospital again. He said he's doing better than he was a few days ago. He called me to ask that update folks, as he can't post from the phone that he has with him, although he can read the posts. I'll try to keep tabs on him, and update folks as I get more info.

Thanks for the update. sure don't like hearing that "back in the hospital" bit.
Get well Papaw. :undecided:
-
Ouch, hope they get you straightened out soon so you can be back at home. No fun being cooped up in a hospital.
-
Thanks for the update. I hope he gets well soon.
-
Papaw,
You have got to break this silly habit of yours, going into hospitals, and get home, where the food's better, and no one wakes you up in the middle of the night to make sure you're sleeping OK. Hope this visit is short, and that you're back home soon.
-
Get well soon!
-
Hope you sleep well tonite and wake up feeling perky tomorrow.
-
OK folks- I am out of the hospital again, but it looks like I am now going to have to see a kidney doc and perhaps begin Dialysis.
Not what I want, but it is what it is, I guess.
-
This growing is more like falling apart! Take care of your self!!!
-
 :undecided:

I just got out after 3 weeks in with kidney failure. Saw a Dr. on my Birthday, Jan 27, her and a Urologist called me on the 28th and informed me that they already had a room for me in University hospital and I had to go right away. Checked in at 10 pm and they were operating @ 4am. Put catheters in both kidneys out through my back because the tubes from kidney to bladder were completely clogged. They told my wife that if I hadn't gone in that night I would have died that night. Gettin kinda tired of this old age crap!
That is tough to hear ! I am not that far gone.
-
Sorry to hear this, Papaw, but glad the docs got on top of it in time to keep you around.
My last real boss at the university where I worked had friends, a couple of whom the husband was on dialysis. It's wondrous, compared to the old days: there's a national network, and you can reserve a bed online where you'll be if you're traveling (not that "travel" is much of a concept right now; but someday). That doesn't make it a bed of rose petals, with servants bringing you treats, but time was, anyone on dialysis was stuck pretty close to home forever.
-
I am not looking forward to dialysis, but if it does happen, I will make the best of it. I have a younger brother who goes three times a week and he has decided that he is long gone. All he ever does is go to dialysis and grocery shopping.
I refuse to be like him.
-
My boss' friends were having a good time with their lives - just, he had to sit and talk to nurses regularly.
-
Hello, Papaw. That is a great way to look at things, sounds like you're ready to fight back!! A little inspiration from Chuck Yeager?

Hi Papaw, Sorry to hear you are going rough a rough stretch. 2020 sucked! I hope 2021 is better. Take care.
-
All the best to you Pawpaw, take care
