Title: Indestro wall bracket
Post by: jimwrench on June 03, 2011, 07:23:17 PM
The seller and I agreed (with tongue in cheek) that this bracket is intended to hang broken wrenchs on a wall. That is if you rely upon their illustration. Anyway I hadn't seen one of these (Cliptite Double Duty Wall Bracket) so it followed me home. On second thought i was already home so I just persuaded it to stay with me. Have we misread their illustration ?

I like it.  It sure looks like a broken wrench bracket.   I take it that the picture is showing the back of the bracket (are the wrench hooks on the other side?)

Very nice, it is still Indestro red too

The design patent is from 1953....

The problem is if you hang it on a wall to hang wrenchs on you hide all the info which is facing wall. If they had put all the info on the front side we could have the best of both worlds. I guess its a little late to initiate engineering change No 1.

Yeah, the seller sure had it figured out.  So many Indestro wrenches broke that they had to devise a special rack for holding them.  Talk about thinking of their customer's needs!

LOL!! Indestro cheated...the wall bracket is just a wrench clip with slots in it...

That looks right. Thought it was wrench bracket when I noticed set screw hole in top.
