Title: 21st Annual Florida Flywheelers Antique Engine & Tractor Show Feb. 2013
Post by: mikeswrenches on February 06, 2013, 09:45:09 PM
Coming up again is another Flywheelers Antique Engine & Tractor Show.  This one features International Tractors.

Like all their shows this one begins on a Wed., Feb. 20th and ends on Sat. Feb. 23rd.

This is the last one until next November.  Lots of tools, tractors, antique engines and parts, and what ever else you might think you want.

For those who have never been, this is a very large show.  Flywheeler's has about 240 acres so wear your walking shoes!!!

As in past shows we will be on row 16, spaces 42 &43.  Across from the end of the tractor pull track.  Come by and say hello.

Here is a link to the Flywheelers site.  There are directions there.  Basically it is East of Ft. Meade on Avon Park Cutoff Road.

Frank,
My apologies for the poor wording in my original post.  I added the relevant information to the original.  If you have any other questions, let me know.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mikeswrenches at the Flywheelers Antique Engine & Tractor Show, nice guy !
Very nice tools he is selling, also.

If you ever plan on going to this show, plan your day, as it is a big place. Oder guys/gals might want to rent a golf cart, or bring your cart, 3 wheeler, 4 wheeler, yard tractor, whatever, the olny thing I didnt see running around was a horse!

This is a big show, I didnt take a lot of pics, but here are a few tools from some of the displays.
The big wrench looks like a home made alligator.
Oh, and my brother caught the Hit and Miss fever...  oh well !!

I have been challenged!!  So here are a few pictures of my set-up.  It was nice to meet Red Vise and be able to put a face to a name.  As I would expect from someone on this forum a very nice young man.  I look forward to meeting some more of you.

Very nice presentation! Much larger than I have done. Did you do well in sales at the meet?

Papaw, Sales were good.  About what we do every show.  There are a bunch of people selling tools, but only a few of us who display them so you can see what is available without having to "paw" through a pile of old rusty junk laid out on a tarp on the ground.  Although occasionally there are some good things on those tarps.

One guy brings his Maytag engine display.  Every time I see it I think of you.  I would have taken pictures but of course didn't have my camera at the time.  Maybe next year.

I talk to a lot of people, and it never ceases to amaze me how far they come just for this show.  One couple my wife talked to came all the way from Maine.  Of course we get a lot from the mid-west and Canada.  I was told that they set records for attendance on several of the days.

They rent golf carts and on Friday ran out...and they, allegedly, bring 800 rental carts.

Sadly, I haven't been able to do justice to the Maytags I have.

The "creature" on the banner is a Scottish Lion.  And since I'm partly Scotch, it seemed kind of fitting.  Also I liked it.

Here's a better picture.
