OROVILLE, CA – December 30, 2013 – Bolt’s Antique Tool Museum, located at 1650 Broderick St., Oroville, announces the schedule for their successful “History in Your Hands Program.”  Museum Founder, Bud Bolt, will assist in the presentation of “The Evolution of Tools” on Saturday, January 11, 2014, from 10:00 A.M. until 11: A.M.  On Saturday, January 18th, “The History of the Dust Bowl” will be presented from 10:00 A.M. until noon. Both of these programs are sure to be of interest to history and tool buffs.  The museum will also feature, “The Basics of Business” on Saturday, January 25th from 10:00 A.M until noon.

The museum, which opened in 2006, not only has tools that have been used in the United States, but also has tools from 4000 years ago including tools thought to be made by Egyptians and Romans in 400 B.C. A barbed-wire collection, old gas pumps, blacksmith tools and 125 tools representing 51 different railroads provide insight into earlier days in the United States.  The gift shop has many memorable items, including a special $1.00 table for tools to take home, and custom greeting cards with tool flairs, created by photographer Mary Gunderson, are also available. Museum founder, Bud Bolt said, “Our programs provide a glimpse into a by-gone era and our ever-growing collection of tools and other related items provide a story of their own.”

The History in your Hands program presentations are designed for ten to fifty participants and are held at the museum.  A $3.00 per person fee is charged and the museum can assist groups with luncheon arrangements. Contact the museum at (530) 538-2528 for additional information, or visit City of Oroville website www.cityoforoville.org or the Bolt’s Antique Tool Museum web site  www.boltsantiquetools.com.
