About an hour later- been watching some tv and chatting with the wife.
A light touch with stainless steel wool, then some Simichrome Polish brought it to this stage.
I don't think I'll do more, there are no maker's marks at all on it.
Overall length is 5", each face is 3/4" by 1 1/2". The knob on top is 3/4" in diameter and 1/2" tall. The weight is 1lb 1oz by my postal scale.
