Geezer Alert!!
« on: October 08, 2011, 04:19:48 PM »
Getting ready to go to my Alvin High School Class of 1961 50th Class Reunion tonight.
Now, how do I make myself look as good as I did back then?

Not a chance, and I wasn't so good looking then either!

Going  almost as I am most days, clean jeans, decent shirt, had a bath ( It IS Saturday, after all! ), no pretense on my part, I Yam who I Yam!

Hope you have a great time. Don't be surprised if your classmates have gotten older and maybe uglier.

I've been on our class reunion committee every five years since our 25th and our 50th is coming up next year.
I can't believe that the people I went to school with have gotten soooo old.
I also can't believe the number of members that have gone to the Great Beyond already.
Hope you had a great time.

Fun was had by all! Yes, some of those folks have really gotten OLD!!!
Quite exciting to see so many there, including 3 of our old teachers. Some of the women look as good as they did in High School, I think. The guys, not so much. One old buddy of mine made it this year for the first time in all these years, all the way from Colorado.

Yeah; there's two ways to interpret that...

The teachers must be getting on in years!

We thought they were ancient back then, but we were only 16-18 and they were just in their middle 20's I guess.

Nice blue dinner jacket papaw, and I like the new crewcut...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

No dinner jacket for me! I should have worn "A white sport coat, and a pink carnation!"

I always liked that one. I hope your evening turned out much better than the one Marty Robbins sings about.

Nah Papaw wouldn't be wearing a white sport coat with a pink carnation because he is secretly Billy Gibbons…
