A few interesting wrenches
« on: September 10, 2016, 12:53:36 AM »
Hello everyone. I wanted to post these recently aquired wrenches on the forum. Several are a bit unusual, at least to me. I was hoping to find out more about a few of them.
None are cleaned yet as you can see.

Top Left:

 Diamond WB adjustable nut.

Below it:

ENKOPINGS PATENT MEK WERKSTAD - Through the little digging I did it looks as if this is a Swedish made wrench.

Standard wrench- I would assume for some form of farm equip.

Second row third down:

Plomb Kinner wrench - possibly for some type of aircraft work from my research.  Twertsy?

Below it:

Buffalo Wrench Co. Buffalo NY  with M & J marking - A local piece but unfamiliar with this company.  The wrench has what looks like an adjustment screw on the side of the hex head, almost looks as if it is a ratcheting wrench.

The very bottom wrench is a Bonney MACK wrench.

Buffalo Wrench Co.

Any info is appreciated. These older wrenches are out of my usual territory.

The top one is a Whitman & Barnes bicycle wrench.

The strange looking pliers are used to adjust 'Steeldraulic' brakes on cars that were so equipped. Think Auburn, Cord, Hupmobile. You can google them and find a lot more.

I agree with Mike on the W&B wrench.
The Plomb is a contract wrench for Kinner Aircraft Engines
ENKOPINGS MEK WERKSTAD - The precursor to BACHO
Bonney MACK wrench - Kit wrench for Mack Truck

Thanks guys, I thought it should be Whitman & Barnes, but Diamond written out had me puzzled.

The pliers I know about, I have a few variations of those.  I should have just listed them all but they are Vacuum Grip brand if anyone was wondering.

As for the other wrenches mentioned, that's about what I could find too. There was patent info online on the Swedish wrench I believe. Pretty neat if pre-Bahco.

Searching the Buffalo Wrench Co. turned up just a couple results so far. One was an old ad for a railroad wrench by them.

There is a member on here johnek I believe that is a bacho collector. You could PM him and see what he knows about it.
