Not everyday do you find a cool thing
« on: March 21, 2017, 09:48:22 PM »
I went to an actual garage sale today, guy was selling the entire garage full of stuff.

almost all of it was  either Chinese, rusty, or broken.

But I was able to rescue a few interesting things.

This one really brightened my day.

Duro 1/4 drive beam type torque wrench

not all that valuable or even rare, but it stood out amid all the  rust and mouse poop

Nice find. They are great conversation pieces when left sitting around. Mine is a Duro.

I like that!  The ring to stick your finger in, so you can torque small fasteners in awkward spots, is really nifty!

I've got one component on my Volvo that I have to replace every few years that requires light torque in a tight space; so I can appreciate the cleverness from direct experience!

This fellows owner would have used it for adjusting automatic  transmissions.

or a hammer, it was a grim place

Quite possible Skip for the pan bolts, yours looks to good to be used as a hammer.
It's just a basic torque wrench in in./lbs.for 1/4 drive.
