BOG MFG Co. No. 203 ratchet
« on: April 24, 2017, 02:36:26 PM »
This is a sweet little ratchet.  Only 6 inches long.  Suitable for light work.
Interesting patent 1,888,885 from 1932 is for the economical method of construction.  The head and shank are machined separately, and then welded.

Check out the pics on this one from the bay and note the barely noticeable ring where the head and shank are joined.

According to this 1936 ad, it sold for a princely $2.80, more than I paid for it three Barcalo offset box ends, and two other rats: a Snappy 3/8 and a Cornwell pass through 3/8.
