Here's the funny thing: The cost of living in the Denver metro area has sky-rocketed. Average cost for a two bedroom apartment is over $1,600 per month. My sons 2 bedroom, 960 sqft, single attached garage home sold for over $230k, a year ago.
But old tools?
I saw a garage sale sign a couple of blocks from home. I saw some tools so we stopped. We agreed on a price for a set of Snap-On Torquemaster torque wrenches. A small in. lbs and a ft. lbs. In a nice carrying box. The seller said she had more tools and camping stuff out back. I saw a pile of stuff rusting on a trailer bed. I asked her about it and she said that it was her metal scrap pile and that I could pick through it. I put a pile of stuff together and asked her for a price. She said $5.00. I asked if she was sure, she said that $5.00 would be more than she could get for scrap.
The big DOE wrench is an Armstrong, 1-7/8" x 2-1/8"
My Daughter thought that I was pulling her leg when I told her about the bung wrench...
The Cornwell ratchet was put back backwards, I think. More on that later....
The big wrenches and the Ford brake wrench made it to my pegboard. Thew armstrong is the heaviest wrench I own.
After all that I pulled another $78.00 of tools together. Probably not so smart, but I was on a roll. And they were only all less than $2.00. Including the huge Snap-On Octo Grip screwdrivers. One with a broke tip to trade in.
Good Day, but we only went out for lunch.
