MVWC Meeting & Auction
« on: October 25, 2017, 05:30:24 AM »
I'm heading to Indy tomorrow morning to attend the MVWC Fall Meeting and Auction on Friday and Saturday October 27th & 28th, anybody else going?

I'll be one of the old long gray haired guys with a beard drooling over old wrenches and I hope to buy a few to add to the collection.

Saw Jim and met Jim 2 yesterday.  Their car may need new tires but it won't blow off the road. I'd say they had a good day yesterday.  More fun today.

Les is correct, Dad and I had a good time Friday and again Saturday.  I was able to hold Dads bidding arm down enough Saturday so as not to exceed load limit on rental.  It was great to meet you Les and put a face to a name.  Also met brwrench.  He looked like he was having a good time if the size of the pile of wrenches under his chair is any indication.

I left a little earl yesterday to get on the road to beat the big storm heading up the East coast. Got back to the house around 11PM I managed to pick up 6 new additions to my collection from Yesterday's portion of the sale. 5 years since super storm Sandy hit the East coast and 6 years ago that we had a Halloween weekend snow storm, both knocked power out for 9 days. Waiting to see what this one brings. Just rain and wind this time, probably some flash flooding due to the amount of rain and all the leaves blocking the drainage systems. Generator is ready!

Yes I did have a good time and brought home some nice additions to my collection.  It is always a great time getting together and talking with other wrench collectors.
