Good time at Indianopolis
« on: November 03, 2017, 12:54:51 PM »
I said there was nothing in box lots that I wanted to bid on-well there were 2 Newell Sanders wrenchs that were interesting. Turns out I got them and 14 other lots. Sure glad my faithful son was there to carry to suv.
These 2 were in individual lots on Sat along with 6 other lots that became mine.
The little alligator was a 1897 patent made by American Saw and the Telcon is a non-sparking that will be right at home with my Ampco and Berlyco wrenchs. The Telcon is in the Clyburn style.
Just a little post to make you jealous if you weren't there.

My boys are way too busy to run around with me ! At least one grandson has accompanied me to a couple swap meets and tool sales.

Son mentioned me buying silo wrenchs to which I replied (more or less) I didn't buy any stinking silo wrenchs. After more careful inventory I did find a piddling 22 silo wrenchs. Pictured in box.
Also found 6 Gale wrenchs which are more in keeping with my implement collecting.
Yes I guess I now collect silo wrenchs.

Now that I know what a silo wrench looks like I can safely say that I several. Don't know exactly where they are but they're out in the shop in one of the unpacked boxs.
