Tools from Indianapolis
« on: November 06, 2017, 08:20:44 PM »
I had a good time in Indy as did Dad (Jimwrench).  I, however , was more selective since I knew I had to carry my own wrenches...

 Top
2 Fordson type screwdrivers - only 1 is marked Fordson- in script on the shank

Left to right - Top to bottom - sort of...

Walden Worchester wire handle ratchet
Nipple Grip - PAT 1393920  Oct 21, 1921
4" Bergman - Queen city crescent style
Lowentraut
8 1/4" Boardman's Patent Wrench
6" Ellis
12" Zwicker Wrench
12" USMC wrench
Unadilla Silo wrench

I paid $50...  Ouch, but I have seen them go at auction for more...

It's a cutie! The curved handles are really neat!
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

To get that price, will I have to put mine in an auction?

Jim, looking over your purchases, it tells me that you and your Dad had a great time at the auction.

I am happy for both Father & Son.

   happy collecting.  Frank

Fine looking haul!

On Bergman, my mother's cousin married into the Bergman Tool family. Don't know the people at all but found out surprisingly through reading an obit.

One thing I regret is never having collected the curved wrenches. I've seen quite a few in my travels.

Twertsy has a nice old picture of their factory on his site, and last I knew it was still standing when I rode past on my bicycle a couple years ago. It sits close to the road and looks pretty much the same outlined shape other than being shuttered up.
