MY $ 10.00 CL FIND

I picked up this Columbian D44 swivel base vise today for $ 10.00. Other than the one base mounting hole being broken and a base clamp screw being pretty bent up , it's in good shape. I think I'm going to restore this vise. It would be nice if I could get a replacement base , but if I can't - oh well.

Very nice find. You could make a pattern and have a local foundry cast you a new base. Got a good friend with a machine shop ? Do away with the base and mount it as a fixed base. Maybe vise parts on eBay ? lots of places selling vises and parts on the internet. I have lots of vises, but not that brand.
