Taps and Dies in original wood boxes, Craftsman
« on: February 23, 2019, 03:20:32 PM »
Discussed tap wrenches etc. with Jim-C recently and thought I would show a couple from years ago in original wood boxes.  Both these sets are Craftsman.  The first set with taps and dies and the second with dies only for pipe.  Hard to put together complete sets.

I've got Craftsman sets from the late 70s, plastic boxes though.
VWs to D10s, I've fixed em.

Very nice. Any idea of the dates of them ? I have started collecting Ridgid and Erie pipe taps and dies. I have a collection of old small cast iron engines and need to build exhaust systems for them and clean up exhaust ports threads on engine blocks. I also need to start a collection of metric taps and dies.

Coolford,

You’re EVERYWHERE on this website!  I can’t keep up with you.  I’ve concluded that your tool collection must be massive.  It’s certainly very diverse.  Those are great looking Craftsman sets.  Being a Craftsman fan, I do appreciate seeing them!

Sweet sets!
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....
