Old Ideas Recycled

How many times have we seen this concept come around in the wrench world? To name a few that come to mind.
Lowentraut, Calef patent
Red Chief
Cochran
Speed nut
Webb & Hildreth

Plus I have several other un-named examples.

Wera Joker series wrenches now has a self adjust. They currently are offer in 3 sizes. 10 - 13 mm, 16 - 19 mm, and 24 - 32 mm. Also to note Wera Tools are a little on the high end of the tool spectrum. Bring your wallet, you won't get these for pocket change.

At least, on their website, they don't claim to have invented the idea.  It always frosts me when manufacturers do that kind of thing.

I recall when Ford introduced the double-wall pickup bed in 1964, and touted it as their own brilliant idea, a mere 16 years after Studebaker did it on the R-series trucks.

Oh Lordie, is it a bad sign that I can remember something that happened 56 years ago?

Wera makes really nice tools, but they are also very proud of them.
