New to me wood working chisels, Craftsman black handle
« on: July 24, 2020, 09:44:01 PM »
I would say 99% of my Craftsman tools a clear with red and or blue handles. These  are probably newer, but rusty. another bottom of the box auction find. Price was right. Now soaking in  phosphoric acid solution.

Hello, oldgoaly. I found a picture of those in a 2008 -2009 catalog, no idea when they started or stopped making them. I have a few, good steel, nice to have the metal striking cap!! And, they were made in the  USA!! Regards, Lou

I cleaned them up, sharpened and was going to put them away. A couple of days ago my son needed one for a door lock job. So he got 3.
