Does the side screw only lock something into the small hole in the end?

One would think whatever mounted in the front was kept inside the handle.  What could be useful that would be that short?  Neat looking tool.

yes,the small hole only locks ....and the screw in the end cap which is removable is for.....confused :cry:

If the screw that goes thru the cap fits into the hole with the set screw then I think I agree that it is for a camera.
