spring-loaded ball for 3/8" drive flex handle
« on: September 14, 2020, 03:16:12 PM »
I have a 3/8" drive flex handle that has lost the spring-loaded ball that is used for attaching/retaining sockets.  Do you know of anyplace that I can obtain some kind of repair kit to replace the ball and spring?

The tool is out of warranty, but I'm sure that I can fix it if I can get the parts.  I would hate to dispose/replace it just for this minor issue.  It is in pristine condition except for this issue.  There must be an easy fix for this issue.

Thank you.

Small ball bearings are easy to buy. You just need to know what size. A donor ratchet would be the first place I would look though.

Yeah, maybe a trip to the flea market or second hand store will yield a cheap ratchet or extension to use as a donor.
