Vise Jaw Screw
« on: November 08, 2020, 02:01:37 PM »
Every once in a while, a screw extractor works as intended!! This was a Philips Head Screw, completely rounded off by former owner. Lots of Kroil, and I used a Tapered Square Extractor. The screw was also rusted to the jaw, so I had to keep shimming the side that was already broken loose!!

No, no!  Leaves are an important part of the life cycle of the tree: they remain on the ground, rot, become soil, and feed the tree.  Raking them messes that up, and the tree will come to hate you.

Good job!

As for leaves I make multiple passes with the lawn mower til they are chopped up enough to settle into the grass.  What you have to watch for is leaves building up in front of the mower deck, piling on top and getting caught on fire by the belt!  This is easier to avoid on my new mower nut the old mower had some incidents!
