Ignition and misc.
« on: November 29, 2011, 07:26:52 PM »
Bought a little steel sewing machine box at auction yesterday and found these little fellows inside. Since our sewing machine has neither a distributor or a spark plug I must assume box was storing nonsewing related items.
Recognize three in upper left as ignition sets and three bottom left are Durochrome (3/8 oew) Barcalo Buffalo 5/16-13/32: and USMC 243H. Others are misc ignition pieces. Ain't no shoes on our Singer either.

That is a nice find, seems the small stuff didn't hang around as long as the big iron.  Some of those probably qualify as Magneto wrenches.  There is no shoe on your Singer?  How can one sew?

Nice assortment of interesting wrenches :) I love old tin boxes, you find the dammdest things in them ;P

The bottom pic, third wrench down on the right, SOE with handhole, any idea what that is for? I have one also....Originally I thought it was a micrometer wrench, but it is too big....

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

No idea what wrenchs on right are for. Nice beefy little wrenchs. I guess wife has shoe on her sewing machine but that USMC wrench don't fit it.

NB The shoe wrench fits multiple machines, the 24xH series covers a set of standard wrenches.
(Sorry Stony, it doesn't fit the Clicker ; P)
