I saved Stoney's picture and then enlarged it. It has Utica 1000-8 USA on it. So why does Utica and Crescent have the same model number?.
From reading AA, Utica and Crescent were not under Cooper until around 1968. AA has a pic of my Crescent and dates it from the 1940s, but god knows how many decades it was made. Cooper/Crescent still uses the part number for fence pliers. At the present time the Utica name is used by Cooper just for torque wrenches.
Also, the Crescent is stamped Jamestown, which means it is old. Don't know when Jameston was no longer stamped on the Crescent tools.
