i seem to remember on the old forum that one of you guys found a simple chart for dating planes.
i bought the ones pictured this weekend, they look almost new condition,,but one is marked in pre decimal price of 25 shillings and the old boy selling them claimed to have owned them for many years.

Absolutly Beautiful Planes benjy!!!! You are a lucky man indeed. I have yet to be so lucky as to find a new looking old one! By the way, how much is 25 shillings in US dollars and cents?

The record looks like you just walked out of the hardware storew with it, very pretty : )

>25 shillings in US dollars

20 shillings to a pound. Pound used to float at around 1.5 US dollars...
So...about a buck 85

Someone is bucking for the Suck award....; P
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
