Going back quite a few years(1955) my buddy had a cushman motor scooter with a maytag motor like Paw's--very hard to start and I believe we finally mashed the actuator thru the floorboard trying to get it to run!!

Looking for USA made ratchets-all sizes-drives and lengths  also S-K SuperKrome wrenches ditto.  Like to trade vs buy run it past me-nothing is cut in stone!

I think I have a flexible exhaust pipe in my garage for a Maytag. I was going to scrap it but an older guy told me to keep it.It is broken in the middle, but the ends are still good. If you need it your more than welcome to it.

I could certainly use it! This project has been on the back burner for a while, but I'll be working on them early in the new year.

I guess the whole thing. I can probably duplicate the hose if I have the pieces to go by.

Papaw, I now have a whole exhaust tube for your Maytag along with a few more of those slot head bolts for the crankcase. Don Brown found them  buried in his garage. I will send the parts along when I ship the big wrench.

Papaw,

Are then any other parts that you need?  I see Maytag engines at Flywheelers off and on.  I can always try and look for them if you need anything.

Did you get it running?
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
