This is a Unique ratchet. I know because it says so. Pat seems to be Jan 14,08. Doesn't appear to be in datamp. New to me but may be familiar to one of you ratchet collectors. Rare ?

Not really "Unique".  They appear on ebay every week or two. If I remember correctly they came in 2 different sets, "B" and "F". One had 6 or 7 sockets and the other had 1 more. The cas is cloth covered cardboard.

It is in fact in datamp, but is very hard to find, as Lane is not, in fact, the name of the inventor....

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Fact that patent is for a ratcheting screwdriver and inventor is not Lane caused me to miss it. Right on Rusty. Looking for other name was the trick. I don't check alloy often enough. they have a nice write up.
