5 Vintage Spokeshaves

From top to bottom.....

1. All Metal Convex, no makers mark but saw a similar one online that was marked "SNELL & ATHERTON". Has some pitting on handle but is solid. Bottom is chip & crack free. Has tarnish that will clean up with some emery cloth. 9" long - SOLD

2. Convex metal with wooden handles, sole & blade marked "J". Sole has a couple of small chips in corner but is smooth. One blade retaining screw is missing, should be easy replacement. One handle chipped. 9 1/2" long

3. Adjustable wooden with brass adjusting screws and wear plate. Blade needs tuning. Adjusting knobs funtion but one adjusting knob skips like something is worn or stripped. Marked: "SLATER" & "HD" on handles. Solid no cracks. 9 1/2" long

4. wooden with brass wear plate. Solid no cracks. sharp. Faint makers mark but hard to make out. I think I can read "SHEFFIELD". 10 1/2" long

5. wooden. blade in excellent shape but a bit loose in body. Sharp! No Cracks. Solid Nice. Marked" "W.MARPLES & SONS SHEFFIELD" & "MADE IN ENGLAND" 11 1/2" long - SOLD
