Default My Museum Display

I have been a member of our local Museum Society for a few years, and have been trying to get them to let me show some wrenches.
Now it has happened and I put up my displays today. I need to go back and number all the wrenches and make a legend so visitors will know what they are looking at. I am so used to being right there when I am showing them, that I never thought about that.
I put reprints of catalog pages and wrench info on panels, groups of monkey and pipe wrenches in a showcase along with alligator wrenches and some Bahco wrenches. I used another showcase for small alligators alone.
One of the panels has the reprint of the last H. D. Smith catalog, and is next to another display of some of the H.D.Smith tools I have collected.

That's cool, it would be fun to be there and watch the people as they look at all of them. Great job, Papaw!!

Wow,
it's like walking into a hardware store 100years ago. looks like they gave you alot of room for your display. The only thing missing is a coffee grinder and glass jars full of penny candy.

That collection is awesome. Why do you look so happy in the first photo?

I'd love to see it up close and personal but geography limits me to the photos. Very nice papaw.

Nice display. The top photo, where you look so cheerful, has those "axy-dent" things in it. Is that an old rail road safety program? I've got some old rusty pinback buttons with the same logo that came with some old RR stuff.

Bruce- those are old Santa Fe RR shop rags. I sorta collect old Santa Fe stuff-not in a big way but since our historic depot was part of the Gulf Colorado RR that built the first rail causeway across from Galveston to the mainland, and I participate in an annual festival to commemorate that, I show RR tools, etc.
I would love to buy one or two of those pinbacks from you. Or trade you a couple of those rags-I have about a dozen of them.

I'll see if I can find them. They're in pretty bad shape if I remember right.

I post pictures to the Toolmonger Flickr photostream, so they kindly posted about my display.
The museum wants me to come there tomorrow and rearrange the wrenches into two more showcases.
