Title: No name bicycle wrench with teeth.

Got any clue who made these? And does the end look normal or has it been flattened?
The other wrench says, Superior Italy, in case your wondering.

I think the flat end is correct. Used as a tire tool.

I've never seen a pipe wrench bicycle wrench. I think those "teeth" were added later. See the uneven ones?

Papaw said just what I was thinking.  Some previous owner "customized" it.

Here are some better pics of the teeth. Looked at the teeth with a loupe and I'm not totally convinced they are homemade, but I've been wrong more than once :-).

At first I thought the teeth were original. The more I look at it, the more I think there not original.

There is inconsistencies that show if you look closely.

Yup, haven't seen another pair anywhere and whoever modified it done a damn good job. Was truly hoping for an oddity, but I guess that aint happening :-(.

Pipe jaw adaptors for nut wrenches were very popular for a while, and there are numerous variations on the theme.
I suspect this wrench was inspired by the idea, but probably not produced as such, the jaw lacks any way to cantilever when stuck over a pipe, so I doubt it works very well, and I can't see anyone making it. These wrenches have enough trouble staying attached to square nuts, never mind something round, even with teeth...

(It is possible it was given teeth so it would grip a spline, splines were used in bicycle fasteners fairly early...but for a spline it should be concave...)
