Have been sorrier for more bids I didn't make than for bids I did make so with that in mind I bought this Tubelox N2949 rat last night even though I thought I had one. Turns out I didn't have one and I'm happy, happy, happy.
Also got the Armstong 1/4 in M-51; the Action 3/8 and the Craftsman BE 3/8 drive.
Believe the Tubelox is a scaffolding rat even though I have never seen one in use.

Looks like a nice heavy one, rat that is. Scaffolding? would it even be plated though.
-
It is tho, should be 7/8
They still make Tubelox scaffolding...
-
That Action rat looks fantastic! Nice chrome, very little wear from what I can see. How's the clicking?
-
There all nice, but for some reason I really like the Armstrong.

So the Scaffold Builders don't rate plating ???? Hellooo yes they do !
That's your primary tool you use, along with your handy dandy magnetic level.
I used the Snap On Scaffolding ratchet, the Tubelox is slightly better with the solid head.
Now, it's been many years since I built a scaffold, but yeah, gotta have a nice plating on your ratchet !

Yea, when you are 100 ft up on someone elses scaffolding, you tend to hope the fellow that built it was anal about everything he does ;P

What's the cone-shaped piece on the back side of that ratchet for? Was it for aligning holes? Seems kind of short of that purpose, but it was all I could think at first glance.
-
No. That's for beating on stuff.

What Bill said, for beating on stuff !
When you tighten your clamp on a vertical scaffold tube, the horizontal portion may not be square, so instead of loosing the clamp all the way to move it, you might just back off a little and then whack it a bit to get it where you want it.
