Title: NO WONDER MY BONNEY TOOL BOX IS SO HEAVY
Post by: dimwittedmoose51 on March 26, 2014, 03:18:38 AM
With some recent additions and finding a spare 3/8" 702 for Bonneyman, it was time to shoot some inventrory shots of the collection and without too much problem  share with the group.  Had no idea I had 7 1/2" drive 702's and also didn't realize that I had both a tri wing and normal 1/4" drive 702 rat.  Way too many pieces to count and hopefully these shots will be good enough for the insurance man....lol  Enjoy.

I wonder if you are close to having as many as Bonneyman?

Papaw:  NO one will ever achieve that status!!!     I'm totally comfortable being in the middle of the pack on that list......

Holy cow!!!!  The B-man doesn't have that many Bonney ratchets!

Guess I will have to get my handful together and post a family pic.

From what I have been able to gather, the Tri-Wing selector style was introduced in 1967 - probably in conjunction with Triangle Tools Corporation's acquisition of the company. The single wing style of selector knob is later - don't yet know when it became the standard. (I kind of remember seeing a 1977 catalog once, and I think the rats were still Tri-Wing. But don't quote me on that).
My 86 catalog shows the rats as single wing selectors, and most of my rats are that way. So, at this point all I can say is the Tri-Wings are "early" 702K's, and the single wings are "later".
