Title: 12" Bonney pipe wrench
Post by: HeelSpur on March 30, 2014, 05:03:27 PM
Got this on a trade today along with a 8" Parker pipe wrench.
Traded a B&O cold chisel for them. Except for the crack in the
handle, its in pretty nice shape.

HeelSpur,

Very handsome adjustable.  You did well.

That handle can be easily repaired.  Unscrew the metal end cap on the handle and the wood handle should slide right off.  Glue it, clamp it, let it dry, then put the wood handle back on.

Of course, you could get all anal retentive with the wood handle while you have it off, but it's certainly not necessary.

Thanks Lauver, I'll try that.

Nice! Any idea about how old it is?

I checked for a date code on it but found none. A/A has the early Bonney Stillson (M) date code as 1921. Only other writing on this is Allentown, Pa. USA.
