Title: Another oddball

Not sure what this was designed for. No maker markings anywhere. It's very heavy for it's size.

Don't know , but most of the really odd stuff ends up being leather working tool.

Heated like a flat iron it was used to press areas such as in side shirt sleeves, where a flat iron was too big...

Often also known as a hatter's iron, presumably for ladies' millinery, but I've never seen one with the stand before.. Also used in artificial flower making, presumably to decorate those ladies' hats....
