Title: Odd Unknown Hook Device?

Hi all... Was wondering if anyone knows what this interesting hook device is used for? It has a patent date but I still can't find any information on it? Reads: HAMAN PAT. MAR. 11, 79 The finger like protrusion on the front has a light notch on the top. Thanks in advance..

Finaly found out what it is....not very exciting...lol Part of a rocking chair...

That's the cool thing about stuff from the past. You never know what it was or was made for!
