I'm not sure what category or where I should post this. But, hopefully some plane folks are checking in.... Is anyone familiar with a plane maker G. SHUNK? This is on the toe of a 26 inch wood jointer that I use all the time.... but, didn't think about who made it until I was cleaning it up a bit today. It doesn't look like an owners mark to me.... but could be wrong, no.29 on heel. The blade says Hancock tools co warranted cast steel. I don't have pictures of all of my planes , but hopefully will soon.
cheers,
bird.

Interestingly enough, I have found a lot of "Woodies" with TWO names on them with very well made stampings.
And have Googled the names that wern't known Plane Manufactures and found out that they were just the owners names. My plough plane belonged to a Minister who hardly ever used it, and it is in pristine shape.
