Title: Does this look homemade?
Post by: HeelSpur on June 28, 2014, 04:15:46 PM
I know the Phillips ends has been brazed on, but the handle looks homemade and the shaft going inside the handle is knurled like a ratchet handle that has 2 pins that seem to be used to keep the handle from pulling off.

Yes, but it looks like a good job.

I've inserted shanks into different handles to get a combination I like, and I've drilled holes in the shaft and inserted pins to hold it it.

That's what I kind of figured, but was hoping the handle was a factory job, thanks.

The handle sorta looks like old fiberglass resin....
