Title: McSherry S1791 Wrench
Post by: Carl Wagner on July 04, 2014, 06:25:25 PM
I purchased a large group (250+) of wrenches at a PA auction last weekend. Going thru some if them i noticed this one. Rathbones book shows it as McSherry. Mfg grain drills and other farm machines. Rathbones book only shows a drawing and not a picture of an actual wrench. Thats usually a good sign that its on the rare side. I like those kind. Pretty good find.

poking through an old box, pail or pile of old wrenches reminds me of
pawing thru a cracker jack box many years ago, what's at the bottom ??

that's a good grab you have there.

Next time I tell you to come up this way for an auction, you'll probably be more inclined to take me seriously . My wallet is just really glad the season is winding down.  We did find some good stuff down there, and we didn't even get them all.

We may have missed out on some other sleepers. The Midland was one i wanted to have. Just sold for too much. Still a great day.
