Too the old members. It looks like I'm back for a while anyway. I have a genetic condition called PKD where cists (bags of water) form in and around the kidneys. In April they removed my left kidney. Thats a hard way to lose weight. That kidney weighted 26 lbs. I'm on dialysis 3 days a week. My youngest brother received a call from Vanderbilt Hospital telling him that he had been accepted as a kidney donor for me. I only have 2 more tests to take too qualify for a transplant. We should know by the end of Sept.
Too members I haven't met yet. I'm 66, a Navy vet and a collector of old things. I collect horse/mule implements, especially Oliver Chilled Plow, Cole, Chattanooga, Harriman, James Oliver and B.F. Avery as well as the cast wrenches to go with them. I also have a 1953 John Deere model 50 tractor and a Gipson tractor I'm an Arborist/ Horticulturist so I also collect antique/vintage pesticide equipment as well as early grass cutting machines. I've been blacksmithing since the early 70's and collect blacksmith tools. I also collect all brands of early ratchets, pipe wrenches, strange pliers and monkey wrenches. I went to the Lawrenceburg, TN tractor show last weekend. I carried 7 pesticide applicators, from the pre 1900's to the 1950's. Later this week I'll try to post pictures.
