Title: Wheel wrench
Post by: Bad Sport on September 12, 2014, 06:59:26 PM
I have what is supposedly a wheel wrench for old Indian Motorcycles, at least that is what I was told.

Can anyone confirm?

OP asked to move to correct forum, but have to leave it for now. Problems with software.

I don't recognize it as an Indian wrench.

The guy I got it from said it was used on his 1951 Indian.  That's all I understood, other than he made reference to a wheel wrench.

I'm puzzled.

It sticks thru holes in wheel and fits socket bolts so you can remove wheel.  I'm an old Indian guy.  I built a 1911 Indian IOM TT Racer and my son & I took it to the Isle of Man for the 100th aniv celebration in 2011.  My last Great Adventure.   Chuck Garrett

OK. I have and have used such a wrench on Harley Knuckleheads and Panheads, but they weren't near that long. Guess that is why I didn't recognize it. It was 5/8" allen, and mine was welded on to a 1/2" drive socket.

I had & used one but preferred a long allen wrench socket.  The HD bolts used a smaller allen wrench.  Chuck
