Title: Farm tool?
Post by: MplsJeff on December 28, 2014, 09:57:19 PM
....reposted because I accidentally erased it

Sorry about the picture quality of this one. It's  a piece I found in a garage sale and sold on eBay. I never did figure out what it was.  The three pronged thing on the end pivots, and if I remember correctly there is a pulley on the end where the rope enters.  The rope was about three feet long with a ring on the other end. I thought it might have something to do with stringing barbed wire fencing, but I really have no idea.

I have several of these.  My wife's 92 year old uncle (farmer) said they were used as a rope clamp for hay slings.  Think I found them pictured on the internet somewhere and that was correct.
