Title: Two Williams catalogs in PDF
Post by: Papaw on September 09, 2011, 08:22:30 PM
Thanks to leg17, we now have two Williams catalogs in PDF, 1912 Williams Drop Forgings, and Williams Wrench catalog 1927.
Wrenches- http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/64395497?access_key=key-yfejjvw13rffkzre0d1 (http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/64395497?access_key=key-yfejjvw13rffkzre0d1)

Drop Forgings catalog is giving me fits, I'll try again later.

I might have to split the Williams Drop Forgings into three parts. It is 300mb and Scribd limits me to 100.

300MB?! That's massive!

I downloaded the 1927 JH Williams & it was 91.5MB. I played with it a bit and got it compressed to 42.1MB, but I'm pretty sure I can get it under 10MB without compromising the quality on screen. If so, I'll upload & post a link...

Thanks for these!

302mb. 69 pages, and there is some very interesting stuff in it. Drop forgings of all kinds, from wrenches to crankshafts and camshafts and some one-offs done for customers on demand.
I don't wish to buy Adobe Acrobat9 Pro for $400 to split the files, what should I do now?

Can you break it into 4 files and post it on Scribd? If not you could alway put it on a CD and send it to LG.

Everyone knows he's a real ADOBE ACROBAT. (insert big grin smily if they worked)

This is not fun!! Except that I am happy that I have learned a few new things in this little project. I am no computer whiz at all, but I finally just split the Willaims Drop Forgings 1912 Catalog into 3 parts, converted to PDF with cutepdf.com , then uploaded them to scribd.com .
Here are the three parts- Sorry, some of the pages are out of order.

Well done! And, thanks for the effort. I agree with you, 'uploading' is not a very entertaining pass time.
