Title: mystery tool? Puller? Lifting Clamp?

Found this at the local Flea Market, not sure if the bolt is original. Stamped on the sides are 2 connected diamonds, one side with a 5, the other with a 6. Overall length is 6", and both are approx. 2-1/4" across the bottom. Thanks, Lou

Hang it on the bottom of an I beam and pull down at the bolt and you'll see you have a fine weight bearing attachment.

Or use it in pairs to lift an I beam (with chain extensions)... These days for H&S reasons the two arms are usually clamped together with a screw...

Anvil figure 218 beam clamp, or part of them at least. They are missing the rod, washers, and nuts that clamp them to the beam flange.

Never, ever use these for lifting beams. Unless you are into mayhem and possibly death.

Made for hanging pipe under a beam. Usually one diamond to show that it is FM approved for hanging fire sprinkler pipe.
