Do you guys know what this is or who makes it? No markings. Been in my box for years...debating on whether to keep it!

If you pull that "slide" on the shaft towards the handle, do the little wings on the bottom of the blade retract?

If so, I think it's a cable box key...

Or, actually, that is what it is. A locking termination key, a box tamper tool, etc.

It is for cable techs, toolies, and bandwidth thieves. It isn't good for anything else.

Awesome that makes total sense. I got it from my Grandfather who was a cable technician back in the 80s. Thanks so much for me helping me with this one guys :smiley:

And yes it absolutely works as you described, the little wings retract when you slide that piece on the shaft.
