Here are two wrenches found today. The first is a 6-inch S-adjustable wrench made by Erie Tool Works in Erie PA. The second is an E.M.F. Co. combination hub cap and gas cap wrench. E.M.F. stood for Everett-Metzger-Flanders, an early Detroit auto company that existed in the 1908 -13 time period.

The Erie Pipe Vise was made by Erie Manufacturing & Supply Company. There were 3 other wrench-making "Erie" companies as follows: Erie Stamping & Manufacturing, Erie Tool Company, and Erie Wrench Company (of New York).

Thanks, Bob. It's something I found at the dump a while back for just about nothing, but in good condition. Do you know any dates associated with Erie Manufacturing & Supply Company>

Interestingly, it is named (Jacksons) so it may be patented also....(if old enough)

I have a different sort -- it's a table mounted chain vise. Repainted black, there are still traces of the original green paint.
